Mile ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Mile mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our App.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Trip Data
Mile stores the travel information you enter:
- Trip details: Departure and arrival cities, dates, transport modes
- Accommodation: Hotel names, number of nights stayed
- Attractions: Places you've visited
- Companions: Names of travel companions (optional)
All trip data is stored locally on your device and synced via iCloud to your other devices. We do not have access to your trip data on our servers.
1.2 iCloud Sync
Mile uses Apple's iCloud to sync your travel data across your devices:
- Data is encrypted and stored in your personal iCloud account
- We cannot access your iCloud data
- You can disable iCloud sync in your device settings
1.3 Subscription Information
If you subscribe to Mile Premium, Apple handles all payment processing. We receive:
- Subscription status (active, expired)
- Subscription tier
We do not have access to your payment details, credit card information, or Apple ID.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information to:
- Display your travel history and statistics
- Generate shareable passport-style images
- Sync data across your devices via iCloud
- Manage your subscription status
3. Data Storage and Security
- All trip data is stored locally on your device
- iCloud sync uses Apple's encryption
- We do not store your data on our servers
- No personal information is sold to third parties
4. Third-Party Services
Mile uses the following third-party services:
- Apple iCloud: For data synchronization
- Apple MapKit: For displaying maps and city search
- Apple StoreKit: For subscription management
5. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access: All your data is visible in the app
- Deletion: Delete trips or all data within the app
- Export: Share your passport as an image
- Disable sync: Turn off iCloud sync in device settings
6. Children's Privacy
Mile is suitable for users of all ages (4+). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The app stores only travel data that users explicitly enter.
